The late Leslie Creed, formerly of Vashon Island, was recognized as one of several Washington’s terminally ill who tried but failed to fully exercise the newly implemented “Death with Dignity” law. The story, published in today’s Seattle Times, takes you through not just her experience with treatment but also her challenge in getting the “toolbox” prescription (citing her local pharmacy did not carry the rx) needed before it was too late. Definitely worth a read. The comments are pages long already on this heated and morally-debated topic.
