After its first day, Vashon Food Summit volunteer and “Food Sovereignty” presenter Emet Degermenci reported a strong turn-out after Day One of an estimated 125 attendees. Today, Sunday, is the last day to get in on the action. Presentations begin at 1 p.m., including permaculturist Degermenci’s, who will speak about Via Campasina as a case study on food independence. Presentations are followed by a wrap-up celebration.
Don’t forget tonight is Oscar Night (on a completely unrelated note!), if you want the fun to take you through the evening.
