JV basketball

The Pirate JV didn’t have any miracles to pull out like their varsity teammates did. Steilacoom’s JV took control early and went on to win 49-27.

The Pirates were even with the Sentinels, 6-6, in the second quarter and outscored them 10-7 in the fourth quarter, but Steilacoom’s 21-5 third period sealed the Pirates’ fate.

Island resident since 1989. Retired in 2006 after almost 11 years as Beachcomber sports editor and photographer. Has been a volunteer assistant coach for Vashon High School cross country, track and soccer teams.
